I am an accomplished English teacher and copy editor with over 20 years’ experience. A graduate of The University of Notre Dame (B.A. 1997) and Northwestern University (M.S.Ed. 1999), I have helped hundreds of students with their college essays, scholarship essays, and college applications, not to mention their writing assignments for various English classes. In addition to teaching secondary English in the Chicago area and the Twin Cities, I have tutored for the ACT, SAT, and AP English Literature exams. Editing a sci-fi/thriller novel for a local author was one of my favorite projects outside the educational setting. I also have done copy editing for projects at leading national companies, including 3M, UnitedHealth, Haagen-Dazs, J.S. Paluch, and Graves 601 Hotel.

In my personal time, I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, going to the theater, and being at home with my family. A Chicago native, I live with my husband, my two teenagers, and my rescue pup Lulu in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
